International Cat Day!

International Cat Day is a celebration which takes place on August 8th of every year. It was created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare.  It is a day to raise awareness for cats and learn about ways to help and protect them.  In 2020 custodianship of International CatDay passed to International Cat Care, a not-for-profit British organization,  that has been striving to improve the health and welfare of domestic cats worldwide since 1958.  In the US and Canada, National Cat Day is an awareness day to raise public awareness of cat adoption, taking place on August 8th in Canada and October 29th in the United States.

In Spain there is a volunteer program to spay cats.  Volunteers work together with Veterinarians who volunteer their time and care to reduce the number of wild cats.  A small nick is made in one ear to indicate that the cat has be spayed.  This picture is of one happy and healthy spayed cat enjoying the sunshine beside the Mediterranean.

CanEVA Health Corp strives to improve the quality of life for cats with our CanEVA PET elk velvet antler products.  CanEVA PET helps improve joint health, mobility and vitality in both cats and dogs. Over the last few years, we have heard from our Veterinarian partners that arthritis is an issue at an earlier age in felines than they had previously realized.  What does that mean as we celebrate National Cat Day?  Cat owners must become more aware of signs and symptoms that their cat is experiencing mobility issues, is suffering silently in pain and likely needs a supplement added to their diet.

Consider CanEVA PETS as a way to support your cat in living their best life.
