When it comes to Christmas gift ideas, health-focused presents can promote well-being and show your loved ones that you care about their health and happiness. I have always loved impractical, crazy gifts, things I would never buy for myself, but as I age I have begun to understand that health and happiness really are the best gifts!
The first time I got a Fitness Tracker I thought, “What is he trying to tell me?” Now I know it was to keep me on top of my fitness goals. The time I got a 12 session yoga subscription, I thought “I’d rather have lululemon tights”…but that gift introduced me to a wonderful way to work out. A cookbook wrapped inside a brand-new wok gave me insight into stir-frying and healthy cooking choices. My first Yeti portable water bottle wasn’t the same as a great bottle of perfume; but I often go without scent…but never without water.
This year my perfect list for Santa? A powerful blender for making nutritious smoothies, soups, and other healthy concoctions; an essential oil; or maybe an indoor Herb Garden Kit or a new resistance band to encourage stretching! If you are giving the gift of health this year, remember to consider the recipient’s preferences, interests, and dietary restrictions when making your choice. Whether it’s for fitness, nutrition, relaxation, or overall well-being, a thoughtful healthy gift can have an impact beyond the holiday season.
