National Dog Mobility Awareness Week, runs from May 27 to June 2 in the U.K and we at CanEVA recognize that this week should be celebrated internationally! CanEVA is a dietary supplement that helps relieve joint pain and increase mobility for dogs who are getting older or recovering from injury. Dogs tend to suffer in silence when injured or not feeling well due to pain in their muscles or joints. We would like to share a few signs you can watch for and pick up on the non-verbal cues that your dog may be having mobility issues. If your dog paces for no reason around the house, or circles repeatedly before lying down, it may indicate he is having trouble with his hips or knees insp lowering himself to the ground. If your dog stops jumping up on things he normally would, like the couch or the bed, take special notice he may be having pain in his spine or hind legs. When your dog decides he wants to cut a walk short, or even doesn’t want to go for as long, or as far, as usual, sometimes it is joint or muscle pain, and not just age that is slowing him down. If your male dog, stops lifting his leg to pee, or your female dog has trouble getting into a squat, watch for knee or cartilage damage.
Dogs may not speak our language but their physical signs are easy to see if you know what you are looking for! Take a moment to look at the science behind the CanEVA product to increase your dogs mobility, send us a note and we can answer any questions you may have. If your dogs mobility is ever in question…let your vet know.
